ALFRED'S - A TRIBUTE
Alfred Trauffer, founder of Trauffer Holzspielwaren and inventor of the red-spotted wooden cow, was a connoisseur. He loved good food, wine, and spending time with family and friends. We carry on his values with great attention to detail: through regionality, quality, and passion.
KITCHEN REBEL
The kitchen only burns when no one is cooking. Rico Gantner from Sargans has been putting all his energy into Alfred's restaurant since November 2025. At 27, the new head chef pursues every dish like a new adventure and doesn't shy away from the heat or the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. His goal: regional products and honest, bold flavors that go straight to the heart and appeal to the taste buds.

A bottle of red wine is equivalent to 26 semesters of philosophy. The Bindella family has been shaping Swiss wine culture for four generations—with passion and attention to detail. Those who love meat love dry-aged meat. The best cuts are stored in our aging chamber for up to three months to develop a more intense, nutty, and firmer flavor. A true piece of passion on your plate.
