Trauffer Switzerland

Sustainability Manufacturing

Our Trauffer Manufactory

Trauffer wooden toys are made from 100% FSC-certified Swiss wood. The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) sets globally recognized standards for responsible forest management. Our FSC seal stands for products made from wood that comply with ecological, social, and economic standards and thus promote the sustainable use of forests. In this way, our toys combine craftsmanship with responsibility for our future.

Our Swiss wood partners

For our Trauffer wooden toys, we exclusively use Swiss wood from two carefully selected suppliers—all FSC-certified and bearing the Swiss Wood label.

  • Niedermann (Eastern Switzerland): FSC-certified spruce boards

  • Schürch (Central Switzerland): Linden wood blocks for our wooden cows

This is how our wooden toys are made from sustainable Swiss forestry – regionally, responsibly, and to the highest quality standards.

Our other sustainability commitments

Ecological

We use wood waste from production to heat all Trauffer buildings and seven other houses in the village; electricity is supplied by our solar panels.

Brilliantly social

We promote social integration in the workplace—inclusive, responsible, and committed to quality, tradition, and sustainability.

Balance sheets & finances

Our investments are carefully calculated, and we ensure a healthy balance between income and expenditure.
